The series is available in 1111 size with capacitance ranging from 0. 3pF to 100pF. NHB series offers excellent performance for RF power applications at high temperature up to 175°C and at 500 VDC. The lowest ESR is obtained by combining highly conductive metal electrodes and proprietary of new NPO low loss rugged dielectrics. NHB series particularly fits for high power and high frequency applications such as: cellular base station equipment, broadband wireless service, point to point / multipoint radios and broadcasting equipment. Typical circuit applications: impedance matching, bypass, feedback, tuning, coupling and DC blocking. 100% invar tuning screws with self-locking system Invar-36 is a unique Iron-Nickel alloy (64 % Fe / 36 % Ni) sought-after for its very low coefficient of thermal expansion. With 1.1 ppm. K–1 between 0°C and 100°C, Invar-36 is about 17 times more stable than Brass which is the most traditional and common alloy Tuning Elements are made of. The working temperature range in Space is so wide that this property becomes essential for a reliable and stable cavity filter tuning. Self-locking system is a technology commonly used on Tuning Element made of Brass or other soft “easy-to-machine” alloys but is innovative and pretty advanced when applied to hard and tough Invar 36. The design consists of two threaded segments separated by two parallel slots. After cutting both parallel slots, the rotor is compressed in its length in order to create a plastic deformation. Thus, an offset is induced between the two threaded segments which generates a constant tensile stress in the rotor from the moment threaded segments are screwed. High Q Factor Dielectric Resonators Dielectric resonators are designed to replace resonant cavities in microwave functions such as filters and oscillators. Exxelia has developed with support of ESA and CNES, a new high-end dielectric material, E7000 series, designed for high-end filters where high Q factor is requested. E7000 is Ba-Mg-Ta materials based that combines an ultra-high Q factor and the possibility to get all the temperature coefficients upon request. E7000 provides high-performance requested for space use in the frequency range 5 to 32 GHz, and guarantees up to Qxf > 250 000 at 10GHZ. Typical applications: Satellite multiplexing filter devices, radio links for communication systems (LMDS), military radars.
A “Game Changer” Rectangular Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor, Called Cubisic SLP
A “Game Changer” Rectangular Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor, Called Cubisic SLP A blog about the Cubisic SLP from Exxelia Cubisic SLP is the new game-changing Rectangular Electrolytic Aluminum Capacitor from EXXELIA, a global leader in designing and manufacturing capacitors. Their products are known for their high performance and reliability, which has made them the choice of many of the world’s top aviation engineering companies. However, they were looking for a new, more reliable capacitor that could handle even greater amounts of vibration and altitude than any existing capacitor on the market. They needed a product that was stronger and more reliable, with a lifespan that matches our customers' projects. Product description : Cubisic SLP is the leading aluminum electrolytic capacitor on the market, engineered with a completely innovative flat technology. This new technology creates a lighter, smaller rectangular shape with an increased surface area, improving its capacity by over 50% in comparison to round aluminum electrolytic capacitors. As a result, it can accommodate more energy at almost any altitude or vibration level than the nearest competitor. This makes Cubisic SLP ideal for applications where added durability is required, such as cockpits and power generation functions on aircrafts, along with being well-suited for radars and laser systems in up to 50G vibration conditions and 92K feet altitude resistance. Applications : Low profile printed circuit mounting Possible mounting with 45 x 12 bracket (A691057) Possible thermal dissipation per conduction through a lower and upper surface Switch mode power supplies, impulse current Withstands more than 92,000 feet altitude Sleeve optional Cubisic SLP comes in three sizes, is made with high-quality aluminum foil and impregnate with homemade electrolyte. It has 2 terminals: anode, cathode. The cathode lead is designed to be bent at a right angle before soldering to terminal A, so it can be easily installed into most electronic equipment designs, which save valuable space when designing electronics boards. The unique manufacturing process used to create Cubisic SLP makes it more reliable than other aluminum electrolytic capacitors currently on the market. The production of these capacitors uses a laser welding process that allows the case to be hermetically sealed with the chip to ensure long-term durability, even at extreme altitudes and vibrations. What makes Cubisic SLP so different? There are a few reasons why Cubisic SLP was created from the beginning. Designing a capacitor with a traditional cylindrical shape means 2/3 of its volume is empty, compared to this new flat design. This means more capacitors in the same volume, and therefore an increase in density. What’s a Rectangular Aluminum electrolytic capacitor, and why is that important? What’s, a Rectangular Aluminum electrolytic capacitor : Well, in a nutshell (no pun intended), a Rectangular electrolytic capacitor is one of those components that keeps your electronics safe, your ship afloat, and your missiles flying. A Rectangular electrolytic capacitor is a component that essentially stores electrical energy in the form of an ‘electrolyte’. It’s made up of three layers: two aluminum sheets separated by an electrolyte solution and encased in a steel or porcelain container. And as the name implies, it’s shaped like a rectangle. It's widely used in different industries because of its reliable and cost-effective protection, which makes it the go-to component for many commercial, industrial, and aerospace uses. Rectangular aluminum electrolytic capacitors are mostly used in military aircrafts, missiles, and nautical transportation, as well as space navigation systems. In these applications, reliability is crucial for the safety of millions of people, therefore opting for an affordable product that offers high performance and quality is key to a successful outcome. So if you find yourself with an aerospace or military engineering project on your hands that requires high performance and quality at an affordable price, look no further than this capacitor! Why is that important? When a military fighter jet accelerates, it can experience up to three times the force of gravity. While this is an impressive feat, consider what it does to the components in the vehicle. One such component is a capacitor. While it might seem like just a small piece of circuitry, capacitors are responsible for a variety of functions in your fighter jet, including: > Powering the radar antenna > Controlling engine performance > Controlling flight-related functions like fuel injection and landing gear operation This is because of the way they deal with heat buildup, which is an issue with capacitors in high-performance vehicles, especially on aircrafts where rapid acceleration can cause significant damage to any component. That's helpful in the cockpit, where the controls are exposed to this kind of force; a control that has to withstand up to three times the force of gravity will last longer than one that isn't designed for this. In other places on a military jet—such as power generation functions—the same principle applies: if something is going to be exposed to extreme forces (like vibration or acceleration), it needs to be strong enough not to break easily. That's why these capacitors are a great choice: they can handle extreme conditions without losing their effectiveness over time. That's why Exxelia takes the time to test every single capacitor we sell to our military customers. We know that by testing each capacitor's strength and durability, we can ensure that the entire vehicle will be able to function optimally—protecting both your aircraft and the lives of your soldiers. How does its ability to withstand varying vibration levels and altitudes make a difference to the aerospace industry? What makes a rectangular aluminum electrolytic capacitor so effective for aerospace companies? The answer: They're made from high-quality material—pure and simple. But the difference between standard capacitors and those for the aerospace industry goes far beyond that. For the aerospace industry, the ideal capacitor would endure extreme temperatures, have a wide range of voltage tolerances, and withstand varying vibration levels, all while maintaining its effectiveness. And it would need to be able to do all of that at an altitude of 18,000 meters—which is where Cubisic SLP comes in. As an electrolytic capacitor with an expanded operating temperature range and a very high resistance against vibration and altitude changes, this product has been able to make a huge difference in how well aircrafts can stay in control. Not only does it help prevent power outages, but also it helps avionics to stay functional when they are subjected to drastically changing conditions. Cubisic SLP capacitors are designed to handle extreme environments, which makes them incredibly versatile—and incredibly useful. From aeronautics to medicine, these capacitors can help your business meet just about any challenge you could imagine. Where can I find out more about EXXELIA’s Cubisic SLP range?
