Coupled Inductors

Coupled inductors are two or more inductors that are magnetically linked by a shared magnetic flux. When current flows through one inductor, it induces a voltage in the other due to mutual inductance. This interaction is utilized in various applications, such as transformers, where energy is transferred between circuits through magnetic coupling, and in filtering circuits to enhance performance by managing noise and ripple.

What is an inductor ? For what application ?

An Inductor is nothing else but a wound coil, which smoothes the current flow or stores the electrical energy.

Functions :

  • Circuit protections against high current peaks (Surge Coil)
  • Smoothing the current flow : Filtering and noise cancellation
  • Energy transfer in converters
  • Impedance adaptation in LLC

Type of inductors from our range :

  • Filtering Chokes (Mainly Power)
