After nearly eight years travelling across the Solar System, the BepiColombo mission is approaching the final stage of its journey to Mercury. The latest footage released by the European Space Agency (ESA) provides a remarkable view of this extraordinary mission. Exxelia is proud to contribute to this achievement through its PM film capacitors, which are on board, and delivering the long-term reliability required for one of the harshest environments in space exploration.
Among the many technologies supporting the mission are Exxelia's PM film capacitors, common mode chokes, and power inductors, which contribute to the reliability of critical electronic systems.

Designed for high-reliability space applications, the PM90x / PM90 / PM907 series offers outstanding electrical stability, long operational life and robust performance under extreme conditions. These capacitors are engineered to withstand severe thermal cycling, launch vibrations and prolonged exposure to the space radiation environment.

The mission also benefits from Exxelia's expertise in magnetic components, including CMC common mode chokes for space and SESI power inductors for space. These components contribute to power management, filtering and electromagnetic compatibility functions, helping protect sensitive electronic systems and ensuring reliable energy conversion throughout the mission.
Their reliability helps ensure consistent electronic performance throughout a mission spanning several years and hundreds of millions of kilometres.
Every spacecraft relies on thousands of electronic components working flawlessly together. Although passive components often remain unseen, they are fundamental to the performance and reliability of power management, filtering and electronic control systems.
For decades, Exxelia has developed high-reliability passive components for the world's most demanding aerospace and space applications. Supporting the BepiColombo mission once again demonstrates the company's commitment to delivering technologies capable of meeting the challenges of long-duration deep-space exploration.
As humanity continues to push the boundaries of space exploration, reliable electronic components remain essential to every successful mission.
