Exxelia officially launches its three new Broadband Capacitor Series at IMS 2019 in Boston, USA

May 22nd, 2019 – Paris, France - Exxelia, a leading global designer and manufacturer of high reliability passive components, is pleased to announce the launch of its new broadband series UBZ, UBL and XBL at the International Microwave Symposium in Boston, MA USA from June 2-7, 2019.

Thanks to its strong experience in MLCC manufacturing, Exxelia extends its RF capacitors product offer by developing the three broadband series XBL, UBL and UBZ. Exxelia new broadband series combine high technical performances (ultra-low insertion loss and excellent return loss over a wide bandwidth up to 40GHz), quick installation (available in standard EIA sizes compatible with SMT pick & place) and easy soldering (made of reliable ceramic material compatible to any soldering process).

Inauguration EXXELIA Manufacturing site Morocco

We are thrilled to announce the inauguration of our brand new, modern, custom-built site in Morocco, a colossal 10,000 m2 industrial facility dedicated to electronic products. This state-of-the-art site is equipped with a 200 m2 clean room and is fully air-conditioned, setting a new standard in electronic manufacturing.     Features at a Glance: Industry 4.0 Orientation: Our modern plant follows the Hoshin method, embraces digital integration, and adopts lean principles. This ensures efficiency, precision, and adaptability in our manufacturing processes. Workplace Modernization: Our workshops are designed with the well-being of our teams in mind. We've modernized workstations, introduced new, more reliable, and productive equipment, creating clean, pleasant, and ergonomic environments. Green Surroundings: Easy access to a green environment enhances the overall workspace experience, promoting a positive atmosphere for innovation and collaboration.   Main Activities: Internal Subcontracting for French & US Sites: Our facility specializes in manufacturing a range of electronic components, including ceramic capacitors, electrolytic components, film products, stators, magnetic products, position sensors, and slip rings. Electronic Assembly for External Customers: We offer electronic assembly services for external customers, covering the winding of transformers and chokes, assembly of rotors and stators, wiring, and microwave micro-electronic assembly.   This step marks a significant expansion for Exxelia, solidifying our commitment to excellence and innovation in electronic manufacturing.    

Euclid: The ESA mission embeds our magnetic components and capacitors

This remarkable achievement comes on top of our successful participation in ESA's JUICE mission and the presence of our components on board NASA's Perseverance rover. Euclid is an ambitious space mission of the European Space Agency (ESA) which aims to map the observable Universe and investigate mysterious dark energy and dark matter. The satellite will study galaxies that are at different distances from Earth using a 1.2m diameter telescope that carries two instruments: the Visible Light Observing Imager (VIS) and the Near Infrared Spectro-Imager (NISP). We are proud to have been selected as the supplier of high reliability passive components for this crucial mission. Our magnetic components (CMC 15, SESI inductor 9.1, 15 & 22) and capacitors have (PM 948S, PM 94S, DBIT X3S) been carefully designed and manufactured to meet the extreme requirements of space (ESA QPL) and play a key role in the success of the Euclid mission (we are inside PCDU =  Power conditioning distribution unit). Our expertise and our experience in the design and manufacture of custom-made passive electronic components for the space sector, allow us to meet the most stringent requirements of the aerospace industry.
