EXXELIA invests in ALCON ELECTRONICS

Expanding its offering in film & aluminum electrolytic capacitors and extending its footprint into India

PARIS, France and NASHIK, India, January 18th, 2022 – Exxelia, a leading designer and manufacturer of high-performance passive components and sub-systems, announces that it has completed the majority acquisition of Alcon Electronics on December 29th, 2021. Alcon is a leading Indian designer and manufacturer of catalog and custom-designed film & aluminum electrolytic capacitors, specifically serving the renewable energy, induction heating equipment, medical imaging, power generation, and railways end markets.

 

Established in 1977 in Nashik, India, Alcon Electronics offers a wide range of film and screw terminal aluminum electrolytic capacitors for power electronic applications. Through continuous innovation and a focus on R&D, Alcon meets the evolving customized requirements and high-quality standards of its products, and enjoys long-standing relationships with both Indian and international clients.

Since inception, Alcon has heavily invested in its state-of-the art facility in Nashik, India, becoming a niche-market leader in the country and competing with large international players.

With this partnership, Exxelia will benefit from the unique engineering capabilities of Alcon centered around testing & instrumentation equipment, leveraging it extensively within the group.

KPMG India acted as the exclusive financial advisor to the shareholders of Alcon Electronics, and Lincoln International acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Exxelia, for this transaction. On the Legal side, Pioneer Legal, India acted as the legal advisors to Alcon Electronics, and BTG Legal, India acted as the legal advisors to Exxelia.

Exxelia présente officiellement ses deux nouvelles séries de condensateurs Film haute température

La série 253P, le Condensateur Film à la stabilité inégalée jusqu’à 200°C La série 253P est le condensateur film PTFE haute température le plus stable du marché (<2,5%), avec des valeurs de  capacités de 0,22 μF à 1 μF sous 250VDC à 800VDC. Il offre la plus faible valeur de perte (T) de toutes les technologies film avec moins de 0,1%  sous 200°C et une excellente durée de vie. La gamme est extrêmement résistante aux vibrations, aux chocs et aux surtensions, ce qui la rend idéale pour les applications pétrolières ainsi que pour la défense et l’aviation.      CARACTERISTIQUES TECHNIQUES: Tension de 250VDC à 800VDC Capacité de 0,22 μF à 1 μF Tolérances standard ±10%, ±5%* Température de fonctionnement -55°C à +200°C   La série 560P, le Condensateur Film Polymer poussé à 180°C La série 560P délivre des performances électriques situées entre celle du BOPP et du PET tout en fonctionnant à une température plus élevée, jusqu’à 180°C et avec une durée de vie plus longue. Le 560P supplante les technologies céramiques et tantales haute température car il ne subit aucune perte de capacité jusqu’à 150°C, et grâce à son TCC très stable <2,5% et sa grande résistance aux vibrations, aux chocs et aux surtensions. La série 560P se présente comme une solution rentable et de haute fiabilité qui en fait le choix idéal pour de nombreuses applications (DC Link, AC Filtering…) en environnements sévères   CARACTERISTIQUES TECHNIQUES: Tension de 320VDC à 800VDC Capacité de 0.022μF à 10μF Tolérances standard ±10%, ±5%* Température de fonctionnement -55°C to +180°C Les deux séries sont disponibles avec un haut degré de personnalisation (*tolérances plus strictes disponibles sur demande).
